Why is migration free?
We earn our money on monthly IT support. Covering the migration is how we start a 12-month relationship.
What are the limits?
The migration is free on a 12-month agreement. On month-to-month, it's billed at the project price. The free migration covers up to 100 people or devices and 2TB of files, in one cutover. We count these ourselves during discovery. Anything past either limit is quoted before work begins.
How fast can you start?
Discovery kickoff within 5 business days of inquiry. Firm quote within 48 hours of discovery. For teams of up to 25 people, cutover usually happens 2–3 weeks after sign-off. Larger engagements follow our 90-day transition roadmap.
What happens if I cancel before 12 months?
1/12 of the migration price is forgiven for each month you stay. If you leave before 12 months for any reason, including in the first 90 days, you pay the part not yet forgiven. Leaving after 3 months, for example, means paying 9/12 of the price. The price comes from discovery and is written into your agreement before work starts.
What's not included in the free migration?
Rebuilding or replacing computers, redoing device management from scratch, recovering old mail archives from local files, printers, VPN problems, fixing business applications, archive cleanup, and redesigning SharePoint or user accounts. We quote these separately before starting. Everything else is covered: mail, files, sign-ins, standard device setup, Teams, SharePoint, discovery, a test group, cutover, checks and follow-up support.
What about very small teams (1–6 people)?
Same deal. A 3-person team gets the same free migration as a 100-person team. Managed IT is $149 per person per month, and teams of 6 or fewer pay $1,000 a month flat.
How does project-only pricing work?
It starts with a paid discovery: $1,000, done remotely, whatever your size. If discovery needs a site visit, travel outside DC, Maryland and Virginia is billed at cost. After discovery you get a fixed-price quote. If you go ahead, or sign a 12-month agreement instead, the $1,000 is credited in full.
